One Giant Leap for The Life You Love
What’s new in your life? Are you one of those exceptionally perky people who make the average person cringe? You know who I mean, the person who has the permanent smile whether it’s morning, noon, or midnight, is high on life, just loves practically everything, and can put a positive spin on anything that life dishes out? Are you the person everyone loves to hate, but secretly envies? Yes, they really do envy you because perky people generally always have new experiences, new ideas, or new adventures seemingly just waiting in the wings. Why? Because you have those attraction principles constantly kicked up into high gear.
If you’re not a member of the perky club, here’s a question for you. When was the last new adventure that just seemed to miraculously appear before you? What were you doing when it occurred? Isn’t it ironic that most people pray for miracles when they are feeling their lowest, and then complain and blame the universe when their miracles don’t come true? Those pesky attraction principles just wreak havoc with people who don’t pay attention to their inner workings.
Have you been finding that new opportunities are too few and far between for your liking lately? Perhaps if you take a current snapshot of a day in your life you could find a way to turn things around so that abundance will become the norm. Begin by looking at what’s been holding you back. There are many things that seem to stand in the way of opportunity, but the primary culprit glares back at you whenever you look in the mirror. Fear is often a major player when it comes to naming obstacles on the path to your goals. But fear is just a word unless you give it the power to become an action. Here’s an example: Charma was a little girl who loved to perform. She always participated in school talent shows, plays, pageants, dances, and was a wonderful contributor in all of her classes at school. When she was in the fourth grade a friend of the family came for a visit and was invited to see her participate in her school’s holiday festival. A couple of days before the festival, the visitor remarked that he was so surprised that Charma was able to get up and perform in front of the hundreds of students and parents who came to see the shows, and was not paralyzed by stage fright. Charma had never heard of stage fright and wanted to know what it was. While her parents frantically tried to dissuade him from elaborating, the visitor enlightened Charma. Sadly, almost immediately Charma’s outgoing personality began to change. She became more introverted, participated in classroom discussions infrequently, and stopped performing at school events unless she was forced. Despite her earlier success, Charma had suddenly become extremely insecure and no amount of intervention from her family or her teachers changed her opinion. It would be years before Charma would come out of her shell again, and even then she did so with much trepidation. Charma let herself be drawn into fear when evidence clearly mounted to support the contrary. Granted Charma was just a little girl, but similar scenarios can be viewed on a daily basis in the lives of the over 20 crowd.
Are you ready to let go of the obstacles? Are you ready to take a leap and create a new reality for yourself? Remember, things rarely occur simultaneously, but if you focus on one thing at a time, you know, using baby steps, you can create an entirely new life for yourself piece by piece. So to get you on your way, make a list of five (5) things that you would like to change, create, or experience. Once you have selected them, write a paragraph about the 5 things which will help bring them to life; as if you’d actually achieved each one, and are living life as you’ve created it. When you’re done with the descriptions, select the one (one is ideal, but no more than two) that really makes your heart beat fastest. This will be your goal for the month, your single focus. First you will need to map out how you will accomplish the goal. This is your first stepping stone towards creating the life you love, so be detailed while you assemble your action plan. Don’t just say that you’re going to lose 10 pounds. Determine which steps you’re going to take to reach them. For example, are you going to fast, diet, or exercise? If you’re going to exercise, are you going to do it at a gym or at home, using equipment or a home video or DVD, etc? These are the type of details that will focus you toward accomplishing your goal. The more detail provided, the less room for ambiguity there is.
Get onboard now. Take that one small step today for the giant leap towards the life that you will truly love, one that was custom designed by YOU.
