Get Ready to Attract-i-cise!

When you think of exercise, what do you see as the ultimate goal? The ability to reach the desired weight, train for the desired event, or condition the body are all things that one may set out to do with exercise. In short, exercise is frequently used for the purpose of making the body perform at its most optimum level. Well the attraction principles are quite similar in that they help condition the mind, body, and spirit to vibrate at an optimum level to produce all that you truly desire.

Learn Attract-i-cise for the mind to achieve positive thoughts and shed negativity. No success is ever insignificant. If you've accomplished it, be proud and use it as a rung on a ladder to help you climb higher and higher towards your success. Become the magnet for all of the positive things that can and will occur when you've mastered the art of focusing on the desired outcome and not the obstacles that have, are, or can occur - if you allow it.

Attract-i-cise for the body because the body is truly our temple, and is typically last in line to be worshipped. If you're feeling tired, run down, or have been plagued with illness, I'm sure you can relate. Learn to nourish the body with rest, exercise, relaxation, and/or supplements if needed. It's difficult to be vibrating positive thoughts when you aren't feeling well, or you're waiting for the next wave of illness to occur. The better you feel, the better you'll continue to feel as the body becomes conditioned to operating in top form and you attract more of what you are radiating.

The spirit can always use a bit of toning up through Attract-i-cise. It is so easy to allow emotions to control everyday life. But it is when emotions are controlled that ultimate happiness can be achieved. Isn't it easier to determine the best course of action when the dilemma is approached with a clear head, a calm voice, and an open mind? How often have you thought, 'my goodness, did I really say that?' when in the heat of the moment? Unfortunately today's society is comprised of masses of people who have not learned to Attract-i-cise their spirit, by not allowing themselves to get lost when caught up in the moment. Maintaining calmness, accepting what is showing up, and learning to neutralize anger can all have a pretty amazing effect on achieving desired goals with fewer obstacles and tamer interactions. Can you say win-win?

Collette had spent the majority of her years since college looking at the things she had not accomplished and wondering why. While spending yet another Saturday evening alone, Collette began reading through her high school journals. After a few entries she realized that she had really liked the girl that exuded warmth, vitality, and unlimited potential. She sat down and began to think back to when the light within her began to dim. It had occurred right after college graduation. She had pursued a degree in Education, but there were no jobs when she graduated so she took a clerical job until something opened up, and never went back to teaching. As Collette allowed herself to relive some of her past experiences through her journal entries, she began to feel some of that old hope begin to ignite within her. She recalled the accomplishments that she had been so proud of, the projects that she had created for her students while student-teaching, and the joy that had come when she witnessed learning through the eyes of a student. That night Collette made a promise to herself to read all of her high school and college journal entries, and to make a real effort to recapture her lost spirit. Through her journals she began the process of Attract-i-cising with her mind and her spirit.

Collette is not alone. Too often life gets in the way and blocks the path to positive attraction and vibration. Despite that, it's never too late to shed the cloak of negativity, something that Collette learned by revisiting her past. This is the time of year when many begin to reflect on accomplishments, focus on goals, and gear up for a fresh slate for the upcoming year. Are you ready to start tallying up your accomplishments? Why not spend some time getting your goals in order and instead of making a list of what you'd like to accomplish, make a list of how you're going to make your mind, body, and spirit Attract-i-cise for you for the entire year? Look at what jazzer-cise, aerobi-cise, and dancer-cise accomplished!

Learn Life's Lessons

Have you learned from the lessons that everyday life has tossed out? Do you look at what life has to offer as challenges, but approach them as opportunities? If so, I would wager that you do learn from your experiences. If on the other hand you are more apt to place blame on yourself or others, use excuses to explain a circumstance, or prefer to be a spectator in life, then you are probably missing out on some awesome opportunities!

I know that we cannot accept the blame for everything that occurs in life. But, just because you can't accept the blame does not mean that you can assign it to someone else. Why give them the control over a situation? Things happen, but it is up to each of us to use these things to our advantage whenever possible and take charge of our lives. It is our responsibility to use whatever tools are at our disposal to achieve the goals we set, no matter the obstacle.

Meet Sam. Sam has led a tough life. She left home at a young age, lived on the streets, yet she still managed to make the most of her life. She went to college, earned several degrees, and has a successful career in banking. Sam DID learn the lesson's of life, and paid attention ... unlike Andrew. Andrew also did not have an easy time of it while he was growing up, but instead of allowing his circumstances to fuel his desire to achieve and succeed, he allowed them to be limiting. He focused on how rough his young life was, how unfairly he was treated, and how much he was owed due to his wronged past. Needless to say, Andrew has not found success. In fact, just when things look like they are about to turn around for him, Andrew's attitude becomes a weapon of self-sabotage. Andrew has thoroughly mastered the art of laying blame, but not the lesson of accepting responsibility for oneself. Andrew, for now, seems quite comfortable living his life at the ends of a puppeteers strings instead of controlling his own destiny. Isn't it funny how two people raised in the same house, with the same influences, react to similar situations? So are you a Sam or an Andy?

How do you react to the things that life dishes out? If you find yourself wondering how you made it to this point in your life, or questioning how to get to a different point, just ask yourself if you've been the driver or the passenger thus far. There is a saying, "there is no such thing as an accident." Now, I don't believe that things only get dropped "on purpose", but I do believe that the things that occur in life do not just happen. We have the power to control our lives by accepting responsibility for what shows up, and using each experience as a learning tool. Reach for the throttle, and more success will follow. So I'll leave you with just one piece of advice, V-ROOM!

Ready, Set, Huddle

Before the start of a game and during a game its team members get together to huddle, to discuss strategy make a plan and determine execution. Business is not different. A successful business has the proper team assembled to carry out a business plan. Even a sole proprietor has a team, only that team is comprised of consultants that are hired to carry out specific tasks. In a way the sole proprietor has the right idea. Hire the person who is best suited to do the work that is required. In essence, the sole proprietor has delegated work to the members of a team who are working together to ensure the proprietor's success.

In sports, especially in basketball, the ideal combination of players is called a Dream Team. Why, because they appear to be perfectly balanced. A player that does lousy on the free-throw line, but is an amazing three-point shooter is paired with another who has great free-throw percentages, but has never scored from downtown. See how it works? In business it works much the same way. Only the criterion is a bit different. How does one assemble a true entrepreneurial 'dream team'?
It begins with synergy.

Synergy is an awesome word that means that the sum of all parts is greater than the whole. That is the beauty of a dream team. The value that each member of the team brings to the table is crucial to the overall success of the team. Synergy is the common element of the team. It is the strength that is formed from a shared vision, purpose and heart that each member of the team possesses.

Dream teams are built one person at a time. From a list is made of all of the people that are known and trusted. People that share values, ideas and goals. Or ones that are the yin to your yang. Dreams teams should consist of people that you don't mind working with, whose input you value, and who enjoy working with others for a common goal. Is the team easy to put together? It could be once you've identified the components of each successful team. In The One Minute Millionaire, Hansen and Allen discussed the research performed by Allen Fahden and Marie West as a tool to help the right team be assembled. According to West and Fahden, there are four main types of project driven work: Solutions, Strategies, Analysis and Results. They also state that there are four main types of workers: Hares, Owls, Turtles and Squirrels.

• Hares ... Generate Ideas
• Owls ... Prioritize and Plan Strategies
• Turtles ... Believe in Traditions, Proven Ideas, and Veto Risky Undertakings
• Squirrels ... Methodical, Detail-Oriented

Together, the four types of work are performed by the four types of workers. Thus, each ideal dream team should have members that like to do the four types of work, and whose spirits soar because their work is directly in line with their personalities. Just close your eyes and think for a moment.

Envision someone who is very organized. Are they results driven? Probably so, meaning they love to be able to cross that accomplishment off their list at the end of the day.

Once your team is assembled, work should be distributed according to the passion of the individual members. Because the team is in perfect balance, every type of worker is accounted for, so each type of work should be covered by the ideal person to handle it. Thus, no one should be stuck with a job that they will truly despise. Can you imagine how much happier your team members will be when they are asked to do something that they truly enjoy, something that comes naturally to them, and fuels their passion? Think of how much success can be achieved just from this process alone.

A properly assembled dream team is the foundation to a successful business.

Goal Getting

Close your eyes. Imagine that everything you desire is just a wish away. All you have to do is close your eyes, focus your thoughts and ask your genie to make your wishes, dreams, or goals come true. Wouldn't that be cool? What if you didn't have to rely on anyone else but yourself? Not even your own personal genie. Wouldn't that be even better?

Think back to some of the goals that you have had in your life thus far. How many of them did you really wanted to achieve, but for one reason or another, they never materialized? How different would your life have been if you had succeeded with the majority of them up thus far? As adults we've learned that it takes time to achieve the things we want in life. But what if as children we learned how to increase the chance of goals being attained and the speed in which it happens. Wouldn't that be a worthwhile piece of education? The following is a tool that the majority of adults have not heard of, practiced, or mastered.

In The One Minute Millionaire Robert Allen and Mark Victor Hansen discuss a technique that they learned from Brian Tracy for achieving goals. Brian Tracy writes his goals down every single day, not just one or two, but his six top goals.
How did he arrive at the number six? They represent the six major areas or resources of your life: body, brain, being, time, people, and money. But he goes further than just listing the goals on a 3 x 5 card. Brian Tracy affirms them as well. He writes supporting the goal, as if he already has achieved it, just like visualizing and speaking from the goal itself. Allen and Hansen suggest that you not only affirm your goal, but that you begin it by stating that you are 'happy'.

Because adding the word happy helps one acknowledge that they are in the current state of being. It is like a light bulb going on that helps you recognize the state of joy, and concentrating on the feeling will help you magnetize more if it. Couldn't everyone use a little more happiness and good things in life? The last step is to 'write down what service, product, or information you plan to render and in what quantity and quality: I am providing excellent value by selling x number of products to x number of satisfied customers each day.'

Why is this technique so successful? Because the 3 x 5 card is kept with you all day long, and read aloud a minimum of four times, at breakfast, lunch, dinner, and just before bedtime. The goals should be changed and upgraded regularly, but no less than monthly. This technique keeps your goals in the forefront of your mind, so that you begin to not just want them, but to actually live them. The trick is to always think positively. Always think of the thing you want to achieve and not what you want to change or the fear that you may have associated with the goal-like failure.

Are you excited? Isn't this technique inspiring? If you are a parent, why not get into the habit of doing this yourself and introduce it to your children as early as possible. Imagine how much they can accomplish in life by using these wonderful tools, and the confidence that will result.

Self esteem comes from achievement.

Mastering the art of goal-getting is just another step in climbing that mountain to success - why not start them out young.

Is The Energizer Bunny Mocking You?

Are you missing your "spark"? The "thing" that makes you want to get up in the morning and sing? Why is that? What is it that's getting in the way?

The answer is probably DRAINS. One of the definitions of drain is to exhaust physically or emotionally. Does this sound like what you are feeling? Do you lack the energy, drive, or ambition that you would like to have in one or more areas of your life? If so, it's time to recognize where your drains are so they can be properly exorcised.

How do you identify energy drains? They are the things that leave you felling unfulfilled, depressed, discouraged, exhausted, hopeless, or passionless. They can occur as a result of employment woes, too many demands, educational pursuits, relationships, health issues, or any other thing or person that touches your life. A very important point to remember is that energy drains are incredibly personal and unique. Something that is a serious drain to one person could be the ultimate passion of another. Take Helen and Naomi as prime examples of this point.

Helen is a working mom. She gets up at six in the morning, gets herself dressed and carries her sleeping son into her babysitter‚s home by seven, so that she can begin her forty-five minute commute to work each morning. She thinks about Kyle often throughout the day, and sometimes has to fight tears as she envisions the things that the babysitter gets to see him do, that she ends up missing. She had hoped that by now she would be used to being a career mom, but she hasn‚t. She can hardly believe that she‚s been doing this for two years.

Naomi is a stay at home mom. She left a very lucrative career to stay at home with her daughter. it's been nine months and she is miserable. Katie is so demanding that Naomi barely manages to get dressed most days, and never seems to be able to get anything accomplished around the house until after Katie goes to bed at night. Naomi feels isolated because she was used to the hustler and bustle of her office, but shies away from spending time with other stay at home moms because they seem to enjoy the life that she loathes.

It seems as though Helen and Naomi would each find their passion and eliminate their drains, if they could switch places. Short of this ideal situation, lets see what other things they could do to alleviate their drains. Helen is unhappy because she spends so much time away from her son. If Helen had to keep a full-time job, she could be home for most of her sons waking hours if she found a second shift job working three until eleven. If she could make due on a part-time wage her flexibility would be even greater and perhaps she could work solely during bedtime hours. If Naomi felt strongly about being home with her daughter, she could start a home-based business and have someone on-hand to provide childcare if it were the type of business that did not allow for distractions. She could also contact her previous employer to see if there is anyway that she could still remain involved with the company in a home-based capacity. This way, she does not have to develop new business relationships, and will be able to be on-hand for her daughter. In order to change the things that were draining them, in each case, these women had to determine what the problem was, be willing to say NO to the things that were draining them, and decide what solution they wanted to say YES to in it's place.

Unfortunately, there are times when we are unwilling or unable to say NO. So, what then? That‚s when you need to decide how to change your perspective so that you are okay with things the way they are. For example, if you decide that you wanted to eat healthier and exercise for weight loss, but each time you put yourself on a regiment your plan completely fell apart, leaving you feeling drained. This might be an ideal situation to determine that you are OKAY with not doing the healthier eating and weight loss program at this time. Perhaps shelving the plan until a later date, or reducing the number of days that you plan on exercising, etc. There are many situations like this in life, don't let them drain you needlessly.

Ultimately, you are the Captain of your ship. Only you can determine exactly what you can and cannot tolerate. Have you identified your drains? Once you do, you must put plans into action to make your energy drains go down the drain! Be willing to say NO to the things/circumstances/people that drain you and replace them with what you do want. Get rid of your drains today and recharge your batteries for a passion filled existence.

The Ultimate Reward

One's religious or spiritual beliefs and practices are very personal and unique to each individual. No one can force your beliefs, but there is one commonality amongst people who follow the laws of attraction -- their trust in the Universe, God, the Angels, or some "Higher Power". No matter what your individual belief, isn't it logical that something that is more powerful, spiritual, and knowledgeable than us mere humans should hold the answers to the questions that you are seeking? Questions like, where will I find my success, how can I change my path, or where will this choice lead me?

Are you in touch with your spirituality for all of the decisions and situations that life tosses at you? Do you tend to separate your spiritual beliefs from you monetary wants, needs, and goals? If so, why?

Is it because of limiting beliefs that money is evil, or perhaps that asking for money is self-serving, or that wealth is a sin? In The One Minute Millionaire, Hansen and Allen point out that one of the most respected men of the bible ... Abraham ... was quite wealthy, and his wealth was a result of his loyalty.
Poverty is often associated with virtue, while it is a common belief that wealth is evil. However, it's not the money that is evil, but the negative actions that produce evil. Case in point, there are many wealthy people who do wonderful thoughtful things for others because they have a great deal of money: donations to charities, sponsorship of surgeries, and summer youth programs, to name a few. On the other hand, there are those who gain money by illegal or immoral means, use money to partake in illegal activity, or use wealth as a weapon to take advantage of those not in a position to fight back. Acquiring the wealth isn't evil.

Abundance is an important factor in the laws of attraction. When there is more than enough, lack is not allowed to enter the scene. Sharing your abundance with others is pivotal in creating more and more, for both yourself and others. Suffice it to say that your higher power would be practicing self-defeat by letting your hopes, dreams, and desires, wither away to nothing. You can't share what you don't have. This said, if you haven't been asking your "higher powers" for the answers to all of your questions, ask immediately. And if questions are being asked, and answers do not appear to be getting through, take your spiritual pulse, recognize what you are vibrating and take the steps to correct it.

After all, it is the freedom to be your own boss, to direct your own path, or to make your own choices that is the ultimate reward. And it is the "higher power" that you believe in that helps you create your reality. Just remember to ask for the answers that you are seeking, listen for the answers when they occur, and believe that you are worthy of the rewards when you stand to receive them.

Pay It Forward and Create Miracles

What if there was a way that you could maximize the potential that you could be helping someone nearly EVERY day? What if it required little or no effort on your part? Does this sound appealing?

Most people would jump at the chance to help someone else especially if it required very little inconvenience. There is a way that you can make it happen, by paying it forward. I know, "what in the world is "paying it forward?"" Many of you may have seen the movie, Pay It Forward. Paying it forward is the opposite of paying it back!
When someone does you a favor, what do you typically say? "Thanks so much (Sue, Charlie, or John), I'll pay you back!" Well, instead of paying back Sue, Charlie, or John, you do something nice for someone else. Awesome idea huh! Only instead of paying it forward once, do it twice! Thus, one good deed could spawn hundreds of others in a relatively short time, as you ask others to pay it forward instead of paying you back. Imagine the good that can be accomplished.

Trevor, the 12-year-old hero of Pay It Forward, thinks of quite an idea. He describes it to his mother and teacher this way: "You see, I do something real good for three people. And then when they ask how they can pay it back, I say they have to Pay It Forward. To three more people. Each. So nine people get helped. Then those people have to do twenty-seven." He turned on the calculator, punched in a few numbers. "Then it sort of spreads out, see. To eighty-one. Then two hundred forty-three. Then seven hundred twenty-nine. Then two thousand, one hundred eighty-seven. See how big it gets?"

The Pay It Forward concept, of doing unselfish acts of kindness, a service for someone, and asking them to pay the kindness forward instead of paying it back, is a powerful idea.

Tricia asked Mike to drive her to the airport to catch her flight. She did not want to leave her car at the terminal for four days. When she was almost ready to board she told Mike that she would "pay him back" as soon as she got home. To her surprise, Mike told her that she did not have to pay him back at all, but asked her to pay two other people forward. As she boarded the plane she thought about his request, and could not wait to try it out. She was so excited, that by the time she returned home she had already fulfilled her end of the bargain.

On the two hour flight Tricia struck up a conversation with a fellow passenger, and offered to help her break into a new market for her small business by introducing her to a few of her contacts. She exchanged business cards and sent the e-mails to her contacts as soon as she reached her hotel. Her second good deed as completed when she offered someone a ride to their hotel when she learned that the car rental had run out of vehicles. In essence Tricia repaid her "debt" within hours of incurring it, AND by asking the two people she helped to also "pay it forward", she put the ball in motion for many others to benefit from this practice. The best part for Tricia was the wonderful feelings that accompanied the acts of kindness. She was very happy that she could help others, especially strangers, and that feeling carried over into the other parts of her trip. Tricia had a wonderfully successful trip, as like DOES attract like.

So remember the phrase "why don't you pay it forward?" Be prepared to sit back and watch the rippling effect of how powerful and positive this is. It will help make this year a better year for many.

It Really Is Okay To Skip To The End

Do you know what you want, but you’re not exactly sure how to get it? Perhaps it is an idea for a new business, product, or career but you’re not certain of the steps that you will need to take in order to reach your final destination? Has this indecision stopped you in your tracks?

I have three words for you: "Don’t let it!"

While it is human nature to want to have all of your ducks in a row before your move onward, and it is said that you should have a plan, sometimes it is much more important to remove the obstacle that “lack” (of a plan to move forward) is placing in your way. I know that I don’t have to remind you that 2003 is the year that we will eliminate the word “lack” from our vocabulary, thoughts and lives. (WINK, WINK) Lack comes from the Law of Repulsion, just the thing that we want to deactivate.
When we use works like “I want”, “I desire” or “I need” along with how, where, when and what, we are activating the Law of Repulsion because we are focusing on what we do not have.

For example, stating that you “want a million dollars” really emphasizes that the reason you want it is because you don’t have it. Doesn’t it? Lack is again rearing its head! So let’s work on putting you in a place to attain your goal.

I know what your next question is…

"So, if we’re not going to worry about a plan, how are we going to achieve our goal?" Am I right?

Well, when you have a true desire about something you want, rather than going to not knowing HOW to make it happen, as Nike would say, “Just Do It!” Go to the end result of what you are wanting and focus on that, not the way that it should be achieved. Use words like “I am”, “I choose”, “I receive”, or “I manifest”.

The means and answers will come to you, without you getting in your head about it. Using this practice, you’ve already made huge strides towards achieving your goals – you’ve thought of the idea and determined its outcome by envisioning yourself holding the brass ring! You will notice that the people, circumstances and energy necessary to make your end result possible will show up. Just trust your intuition that the middle part will speak up in perfect timing, loud and clear.

Here’s an example. Jim has been sending out proposals for his firm. As he hits the ‘send” button on his e-mail he says, “I really need to land a big account.” Did you recognize Jim sabotaging himself by activating the Laws of Repulsion? Good! So did Jim after a while. Instead, he decided to say, “I’m going to focus. I have landed the most wonderful account. I have manifested the largest most successful account in my career. Thank you so much for this account.”

What a switch in energy! So what shows up, as a result of Jim changing his way of thinking? Does he get the big account? Well, not initially. That’s because Jim keeps vacillating between the Law of Attraction and the Law of Repulsion. He says that he has landed the biggest account of his career thus far, but he keeps attaching “but WHEN?” messages at the end.

Jim successfully gets a grip on his thoughts, refocuses, and develops some patience. He sits down to prepare to write another proposal, and decides to take a break to collect his thoughts by checking his voice mail. Jim is delighted to find that he has two messages from a client that is very interested in the proposal he sent out three weeks before. This potential client does indeed bring to the table the largest account that Jim has ever handled.

So you see, ultimately, you have the power to create the things that you want in your life, just like Jim. Just trust in yourself, remain steadfast and resist falling back into the trap of the Law of Repulsion.

Patience is a primary key to your success when manifesting.

Concentrate on the end and watch those things you focus on begin to manifest in your reality. Begin keeping a journal documenting the things that start showing up, as an affirmation to the strides that you are making. And always remember to show gratitude for what is coming to you.
